Ergonomic Hoist has compact, lightweight, sturdy design.

June 26, 2009 - Capable of fitting inside 12 in. box truss, Stagemaker® SM2 has lifting capacity of ¼ ton and features pressure-cast aluminum construction. AGMA quality carburized and precision ground gearing helps minimize noise levels, chain guide ensures smooth release of chain from hoist, and single-chain system helps prevent jamming. While combination brake torque limiter system allows for external adjustment of overload, DC disk brake overrides clutch in case of slippage to promote safety.

R&M Materials Handling, Inc. to Demo New Stagemaker® SM2 at Infocomm09

SPRINGFIELD, OH -The Stagemaker® SM2 hoist by R&M Materials Handling, Inc. (R&M), is now available and can be seen at the R&M Infocomm booth (#1653) in Orlando. The SM2 is an ergonomic lifting solution designed for hotel ballrooms, churches, scenic arts, theatres, concert halls, clubs, exhibition halls, and trade shows. With a lifting capacity of ¼ ton, an overall lightweight body, and compact dimensions, the SM2 is also equipped to meet the strict requirements of touring, roof systems, rental fleets, temporary setups and permanent installations alike.

"The SM2 provides all of the advantages of the SM5 in an SM1 body," comments Mark Arthur, Director of Customer Service & Product Support at R&M. "Compared to other ¼ ton hoists; the Stagemaker® SM2 hoist offers compact dimensions while providing the time tested product features that you have come to expect from the Stagemaker® Concert Hoist line."

The lightweight and sturdy design, constructed of pressure-cast aluminum, gives the SM2 the strength needed to endure the wear and tear of touring events. Its low weight also allows the SM2 to handle demanding lift requirements within smaller venues that have light pick point limitations. Two notable features for a hoist capable of fitting inside a 12" box truss.

The new Stagemaker® SM2 features include: premium-grade AGMA quality carburized and precision ground gearing that contributes to the exceptionally low noise level, a chain guide that ensures the smooth release of the chain from the hoist, a single chain system that helps prevent jamming and our industry leading combination brake torque limiter system that allows for the external adjustment of the overload. The quiet, low maintenance DC disk brake over rides the clutch in the event of slippage, making it the safest design in the industry.
