Offering capacity of 1,200 lb, Wedge Grip features hardened serrated steel jaws that are opened with ergonomic spring loaded knob and rack-and-pinion type mechanism. Jaws ride on rollers instead of sliding along surface of housing, preventing jamming. Additional features include thru slot for samples of unlimited width, and optional swivel adapter that provides proper sample alignment in pull testing applications.

This heavy duty instrument has a self-tightening grip with a capacity of 1200 lb (5.3 kN) is ideal for a range of tensile testing requirements. The serrated steel jaws are easily opened with an ergonomic spring loaded knob and rack and pinion type mechanism. The jaws ride on rollers instead of sliding along the surface of the housing, as with conventional wedge grips. This unique design prevents jamming and improves gripping characteristics.
Features and specifications include; 1200 lb [5.3 kN] capacity, fully enclosed, hardened serrated steel jaws, thru slot for samples of unlimited width, ergonomic handle, weight: 0.80 lb [0.36 kg], jaw material / hardness: 416 SS / 43 RC. Optional equipment available for the Wedge Grip is the swivel adapter. Swiveling action provides proper sample alignment in pull testing applications.
