Intergraph® Debuts New Version of Public Safety and Security Incident Response Management Offerings to Accelerate 9-1-1 Response

New offerings increase usability and efficiency to promote interoperability and information sharing

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., June 17 -- Intergraph(R), the world leader in public safety and security incident response management solutions, has introduced the latest version of its software with new standard-setting interoperability, next generation mobile and map incorporation capabilities.

Intergraph I/CAD version 9.0 promotes interoperability and information sharing to advance situational awareness for optimized emergency response and streamlines the 9-1-1 dispatch process through usability enhancements. The latest generation computer-aided dispatch (CAD) solution also allows for the incorporation of widely available consumer maps into workflows. Intergraph's newest public safety and security incident response management solution:

-- Introduces the Intergraph Interoperability Framework, based on Microsoft BizTalk for enterprise service bus support for multi-agency and multi-jurisdictional data sharing, which becomes the platform for supporting industry standards, such as the National Information Exchange Model (NIEM);

-- Delivers usability enhancements, including simplified workflows, that make common dispatch tasks easier to complete for quicker and more accurate decision making;

-- Supports new and emerging mobile trends through a refreshed platform compatible with Internet Protocol V.6, Microsoft SQL Server 2008 database, Microsoft Windows Server 2008 operating system and Oracle 11g database;

-- Advances situational awareness by enabling users to easily toggle between the I/CAD map and consumer maps, such as Microsoft Virtual Earth.

Intergraph's latest mobile application, Mobile for Public Safety, an extension to Intergraph's CAD solution, is a highly customizable, next generation platform that provides seamless application interoperability. It includes new, intuitive, role-specific user interface templates that are specifically designed to meet the varying needs of police, fire and EMS users. The application also supports consumer maps from Microsoft Virtual Earth to advance situational awareness for field personnel.

"Perhaps no situation underscores the value of quick, clear and concise communication more than an emergency, where the right data can save lives," said Chris Colyer, director, alliances & channel strategy, WW Enterprise & Partner Group, Microsoft. "By integrating popular and immersive new technologies -- such as Microsoft Virtual Earth -- into its solution, Intergraph is delivering the best possible data to optimize emergency response times. The introduction of advanced situational awareness data and usability enhancements will greatly improve overall public safety."

"Intergraph's scalable public safety and security solutions are trusted by agencies around the world to provide actionable information where and when it is needed to facilitate swift response," said John K. Graham, president, Intergraph Security, Government & Infrastructure. "This newest generation of Intergraph's public safety and security solutions takes advantage of the latest technologies and standards to provide a comprehensive tool to advance the missions of those who work tirelessly to save lives and enhance public safety and security."
