Tilt Indicator minimizes false indication due to vibration.

June 18, 2009 - Delivering immediate accountability to shippers and handlers of goods, TiltWatch® XTR detects and records when unacceptable tilt has occurred. This allows manufacturers to ship fragile, sensitive, and calibrated devices with increased confidence that their products will arrive safely. Design alerts handlers that special care is required for certain shipments and eliminates false activations from random vibration during shipping/handling.

ShockWatch's New TiltWatch® XTR Indicators Eliminate False Activation From Vibration During Monitoring

DALLAS (June 16, 2009) - Since you can't be present with your products during the entire shipping process, ShockWatch continues to perfect its line of shipping and handling monitors so you know your products are receiving the care they deserve. ShockWatch - the global leader in developing and manufacturing damage prevention products - adds the TiltWatch® XTR to its line of the most-trusted damage-prevention products on the planet. The newest tilt indicator holds a patented design that eliminates false activations from random vibration. For items like large computer rack systems, appliances and glass that cannot be tilted during transport, TiltWatch XTR negates the effects of small bumps that might trigger the indicator and delivers the most accurate reading on the market.

"Concealed damage resulting from unacceptable tilting of electronic products can be extremely frustrating for manufacturers; the TiltWatch XTR and all of ShockWatch's damage-prevention indicators deliver immediate accountability to the shippers and handlers of your most precious goods," said Angela Kerr, shipping and handling product manager at ShockWatch. "Upon arrival, the product might appear to be in perfect condition, but tilting the product along the transportation journey may have damaged delicate components and connections internally. Before anyone realizes there is an issue, the product is installed only to discover that there is a malfunction in operation. Diagnosing and repairing the damage means that time and money are being wasted, and there is damage to the manufacturer's quality reputation. With ShockWatch's TiltWatch XTR, you have a simple, cost-effective and highly effective solution that helps you avoid all of these hassles."

Like the TiltWatch and TiltWatch Plus, the TiltWatch XTR detects and records when unacceptable tilt has occurred. These indicators allow manufacturers to ship fragile, sensitive and calibrated devices with an increased confidence that their products will arrive safely. All ShockWatch damage prevention products alert handlers that special care is required for certain shipments. When combined with ShockWatch companion labels, the TiltWatch indicators create a highly visible deterrent to mishandling.

"While shipping companies can assure you the best care for your sensitive products, ShockWatch and its shipping and handling monitors provide you with peace of mind that those shipping companies just can't provide," Kerr said. "When you can't be there every step of the way, ShockWatch can."
