Line 6 Ships X2(TM) XDR959 Wireless Lavalier Microphone System

Award-winning digital wireless technology for presenters and public speakers

Calabasas, Calif. - May 29, 2009 - Line 6, Inc., the industry leader in digital modeling technology for music creation products, announces X2(TM) XDR959 Wireless Lavalier Microphone System with cardioid lavalier microphone and rack-mountable receiver. It's the latest addition to its award-winning XDR95 series of digital wireless systems.

"This announcement reinforces Line 6 at the forefront of digital wireless microphone technology," remarks Don Boomer, Line 6 product line manager. "With X2 XDR959, public speakers, teachers and anyone in a presentation setting can be confident that every nuance of their vocal performance will be delivered to their audience with outstanding sonic clarity."

X2 XDR959 Wireless Lavalier Microphone System will welcome schools, business conferences and houses of worship into the fold of professionals who have already discovered the benefits of Line 6 Digital Wireless. The system, which includes a high-quality cardioid lavalier microphone, a bodypack transmitter, and a rack-mountable five-channel receiver, boasts an extended frequency response of 10 Hz - 20 kHz for clear and commanding voices at ranges of up to 300 feet, the length of a football field.

Like all Line 6 Digital Wireless systems, X2 XDR959 features 24-bit analog-to-digital conversion and a compression-free broadcast. Its wide dynamic range of over 115 dB, which is greater than that of any comparable analog wireless system, provides a rich tone equivalent to that of a high-quality audio cable connection.

X2 XDR959 instills confidence in professionals by incorporating multiple layers of signal protection that shield its signal from static and dropouts. The system uses a proprietary digital data stream that recognizes only signals embedded with a unique digital signature. Plus, dual-RF anti-jam technology lets X2 XDR959 broadcast dual signals to four receivers that work simultaneously to avoid signal dropouts. Analog wireless systems commonly broadcast over crowded frequencies and therefore remain susceptible to interference.

Easy to set up and use, X2 XDR959 includes all necessary accessories including antennas, batteries and rack-mounting hardware.
