New CorrectDeck CX® Starter Board Profile Now Available

BIDDEFORD, Maine - Correct Building Products, LLC (CBP, www.correctbp.com) introduced a new board profile in its CorrectDeck CX® lineup that is designed for deck perimeters, stair treads and other deck designs that need a clean, finished edge.

The new Starter board profile features one bull-nosed edge, and one with a grooved side to accommodate the company's patented Fastenator® hidden fastening system. This is the third profile in the CorrectDeck CX® lineup; there is also a Classic profile with two bull-nosed edges for those preferring to face-screw, and the Channeled profile, with grooves on both sides of the board and designed for a uniform and fastener-free deck surface using the Fastenator® system.

"The new profile is perfect for decks that utilize a "picture frame" design," noted Greg Ciampa, vice president of sales at CBP. "This product is a great addition to our lineup as it saves the contractor valuable time and really improves the look of the homeowner's deck project."

The Starter profile is available in all six CorrectDeck CX® colors and features CX Technology that makes the decking stain, mold, and fade resistant. The material is made from 80 percent recycled content, is a 60/40 combination of hardwood and polypropylene, and can qualify for LEED points from the U.S. Green Building Council.

Deck contractor Robert Shaw of Colorado Deck & Framing added, "This is a great option for deck builders. Our customers prefer a clean edge around the perimeter of the deck and on stair treads and we typically have to cut and router one side of the deck board in order to get that smooth appearance. This new profile will certainly save time and improve the overall appearance of the deck."

The new profile boards are available through CBP's nationwide network of building material distributors and dealers. Homeowners can find a local contractor or dealer, as well as request samples at the company's Web site: www.correctbp.com.
