Filtering Facepiece Respirators combine comfort, efficiency.

June 10, 2009 - Designed with concern for wearer comfort and ability to don mask, X-plore 1700 series employs CoolSAFE(TM) filter media combination to maximize protection while minimizing breathing resistance. Pressure-free fit and moisture-repellent inner fleece promote further comfort when worn for extended periods. To further enhance breathing performance, direction of exhalation valve opening is aligned to airflow during exhalation. Special versions feature activated carbon layer to help remove organic vapors below permissible exposure limit.

Comfort Matters - The New Draeger Series of Filtering Facepiece Respirators Demonstrate Exceptional Wearer Comfort

PITTSBURGH, May 28 -- The best respiratory protection is useless if it is not worn. When developing the new X-plore 1700 series, Draeger dedicated special attention to ensuring that the mask was both easy to handle and that the comfort of the wearer was maximized. While offering extremely low breathing resistance, their high filtering performance has not been compromised.

It is a well documented fact that, especially during prolonged use, many filtering facepiece respirators can become uncomfortable to wear, often due to a build up of warm moist exhaled air within the mask. In order to counter this, the Draeger X-plore 1700 series utilizes a well researched combination of filter media that demonstrates strong protection yet minimizes breathing resistance. An available innovative exhalation valve further enhances breathing performance. The direction of the valve opening is aligned to the airflow during exhalation, meaning that exhaled air is expelled outside of the mask with far less effort. Additionally, the mask incorporates a moisture-repellent inner fleece to further enhance comfort when worn for extended periods.

Easy donning of the mask

To facilitate ease of donning and ensure a pressure-free fit, the head harness of the Draeger X-plore 1700 consists of a continuous loop, permanently elastic stable textile band. A foam nose pad and flexible nose clip permit a comfortable and individual fit with excellent sealing characteristics at the nose.

Wide range of applications

Developed jointly with users, the Draeger X-plore 1700 series has been designed specifically for the requirements across a multitude of industrial applications. Special versions of the series feature an activated carbon layer to help remove organic vapors below the permissible exposure limit. The series includes masks of N95, N95 with valve, N95 Odor with valve and R95 with valve.
