Looking to Descale and Clean Structural Shapes? Look No Further than Wheelabrator Structural Steel Shot Blast Cleaning System

Burlington, ON - (May 27, 2009) - Wheelabrator Structural Steel Shot Blast Cleaning systems are designed for descaling and cleaning structural shapes before or after fabrication. The Model 2436 uses Autoblast® wheels and has a 24-inch wide by 36-inch high cleaning envelope and a variable speed roll conveyor.

The high production systems use recyclable steel abrasive and eliminate the environmental problems and high labour costs of manual air blasting. Wheelabrator® equipment incorporates standard and customized components to meet individual customer requirements.

The blast chamber features high manganese welded construction for wear-resistance when directly impacted by steel shot abrasive. The addition of replaceable in line wear plates of cast alloy material provides extra cabinet protection. With cleaned abrasive from the recycling system, the Autoblast wheels direct a uniform abrasive blast pattern against the work surface to clean all exposed areas. Certain models can be installed at floor level to provide a compact pitless footprint for small to medium-sized facilities. Simple, user-friendly operator controls help make the system an easy to use addition to any structural steel cleaning operation.
