Automated System facilitates drum dispenser cleaning.
May 26, 2009 -
Suited for use with container emptying devices, FRClean(TM) cleans drum/pail systems completely and eliminates previously associated disassembly, reassembly, and wait times. After continuous contact with medium, contaminated plate is inserted into cleaning drum equipped with nozzles and cleaned within 20-40 min. By fitting hose reel to cleaning drum supply station, system may also be used for external cleaning of equipment/production areas.
Fluid Research® Corporation (www.fluidresearch.com) now offers an automatic cleaning system for container emptying devices. The new FRClean(TM) system cleans your drum/pail system completely, eliminating disassembly, reassembly, and long wait times for cleaning.
In light of the rising costs of energy and raw materials, cleaning and disinfecting of machine surfaces and plant components in the production of food, cosmetics, or pharmaceuticals is rapidly increasing in importance. In order to maintain consistent product integrity, the production facilities and peripheral equipment in industrial plants and workshops need to be thoroughly cleaned regularly and when required. Until now, the follower plate, which rests directly on the product, needed to be dismantled, cleaned by hand, then reassembled. Fluid Research Corporation's new automated system for cleaning the container emptying device now replaces laborious manual cleaning quickly, simply, and reliably.
This system provides automatic cleaning without any dismantling or reassembly, eliminating the potential disassembly or reassembly error. After continuous contact with the medium, the contaminated plate is inserted into a cleaning drum equipped with nozzles (inserted into the drum exactly how it is done during normal operation) - then the cleaning starts.
Designed to be integrated into hygiene management processes, the system allows a fully-automatic cleaning operation and achieves high process plan availability.
The entire cleaning process takes 20-40 minutes and is fully automatic (depending upon the medium and level of cleaning needed). This operation can be compared with an automatic tank CIP system that uses spray nozzles to remove product residues and clean the surfaces. It offers results-oriented cleaning in the alkaline as well as acidic ranges in accordance with almost all product requirements.
Another valuable cleaning feature can be achieved by fitting a hose reel (hose and plug-in spray nozzle) to the cleaning drum supply station, it is used for the external cleaning of equipment and production areas by means of high pressure or foam. Providing a completely cleaned unit when completed.
Advantages of FRCleaning System:
- Reproducible cleaning results (operator-independent).
- Fewer production downtimes (for maximum productivity and increased investment yield).
- Less manual operation (no tools in the production area).
- No risk of incorrect assembly of equipment
Fluid Research also recently released information on both the TopShot and Adshot on the new website furthering Fluid Research's dedication to educating customers to the benefits of automation and feedback; from efficiency and consistency to health and safety; automation elevates these features to a level that cannot be obtained anywhere else.
