PSB PICMG 2.16-based platform consists of 84 HP 9U card rack, 5 fans, 16-slot backplane, and 4 redundant 250 W plug-in power supply units. Together, 5 independent temperature sensors and 2 Intel shelf managers provide adapted air flow. Fan arrangement ensures uniform flow under assemblies, and fan drawer can be replaced during operation. System slots are assigned to Nos. 1 and 16, and switch slots to 8 and 9. Routing of differential pairs supports transfer rates over 1,000 Mbds.
