ClearCheck21 MICR Reader provides high-reliability OCR of check MICR line, as well as correction strips, and can read MICR lines from IRDs. MICR lines at the bottom of checks are critical to the check deposit and clearing process. Incorrect MICR reads are the major contributor to check processing exceptions averaging nearly 3% by industry estimates. Check scanners cannot read the MICR line if a correction strip is applied, requiring manual rework of exceptions and credit returns. New check21 technology from Inlite Research provides a high reliability OCR of the check MICR line, as well as correction strips. It can even read the MICR lines from IRDs, quality permitting.
