Featuring aluminum heat block designed to accommodate 96-well microtiter plate, MICROVAP(TM) uses array of 2 in. long, 19-gauge needles, each centered over individual well, to provide separate stream of nitrogen for each sample. Consuming 20-30 lpm of nitrogen, evaporator is equipped with electronic temperature controller from ambient to 100°C, 250 W heater, and epoxy-coated aluminum base, which stands up to laboratory solvents.
A new, nitrogen evaporator that is designed for 96-well microtiter plates and provides an individual stream of nitrogen for each sample is being introduced by Organomation Associates, Inc. of Berlin, Massachusetts.
The MICROVAP(TM) Nitrogen Evaporator is a compact unit with an aluminum heat block designed to accommodate a 96-well microtiter plate and features an array of 2" long needles with each one centered over an individual well. Providing a separate stream of nitrogen for each sample, through 19-gauge needles, this 96-well evaporator consumes only 20 to 30 LPM of nitrogen.
Equipped with an electronic temperature controller from ambient to 100°C, the MICROVAP(TM) Nitrogen Evaporator has a 250 Watt heater (110 or 220V) and an epoxy coated aluminum base which stands up well to laboratory solvents. Various heat block options are offered, including a manifold for creating a 15-or 24-position evaporator. A triple unit is offered that handles three plates side-by-side; individually valved and controlled.
