sPro(tm) 60 SLS(r) Centers Enable Users to Rapidly and Economically Manufacture Stable, Durable Plastic Parts for Demanding Functional Testing and End-Use Applications

ROCK HILL, S.C., May 12, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- 3D Systems Corporation (Nasdaq:TDSC), a leading provider of Direct Rapid 3-D Printing, Prototyping and Manufacturing Solutions, announced today the launch and immediate availability of its new sPro 60 SLS(r) Centers at RAPID 2009, North America's annual Rapid & Additive Manufacturing event, being held from May 12 to May 14, 2009, in Schaumburg, IL.

Expanding 3D Systems' line of sPro Centers, the sPro 60 SLS(r) family of new cost-savings production systems enables users to rapidly manufacture stable, durable plastic parts for demanding functional testing and end-use applications. sPro 60 SLS(r) Centers feature enhanced productivity within an optimized build volume, new CleanSweep IR sensor technology, the ability to process multiple materials and the flexibility to change materials quickly.

Optional features include 3D Systems' ProScan digital imaging system and the AccuTemp thermal control system, which are designed for the most rigorous manufacturing applications. As part of its new product family 3D Systems is also introducing a new, affordable basic sPro 60 SLS(r) production system that offers unmatched value with the flexibility to upgrade to the more advanced sPro Production Centers as required.
