Matrox VDA-1164 Provides High-Quality IP Video Decoding for Large-Scale IP Security Networks
IFSEC 2009, Birmingham, United Kingdom - May 11th, 2009/-Matrox Graphics, the leading manufacturer of specialized graphics solutions, today announced the availability of the Matrox VDA-1164 for workstations running video management system (VMS) software. The new Video Decoding Accelerator (VDA) supports simultaneous decoding of up to 16 D1 video streams from a wide variety of cameras and codecs, while flawlessly displaying all streams at full frame rate on up to four high-definition monitors.
"The Matrox VDA-1164 eliminates the workstation decoding bottleneck by completely offloading the video decoding burden from the host CPU," says Alain Thiffault, Business Development Manager, Matrox Graphics Inc. "By doing so, single-seat surveillance systems or large-scale IP security network operator stations can run sophisticated applications while meeting the ever-increasing demand for more camera streams, higher frame rates, and more complex codecs."
Matrox Graphics will be demonstrating the VDA-1164 and other advanced multi-display solutions at IFSEC 2009 from May 11-14th at NEC Birmingham, United Kingdom, Stand F130, Hall 4.
