Daimer Industries Announces Power Washers with Automatic Shutoff Technology®

New 12200 and 12300 models with AST® add a new level of convenience for operators of electric-powered power washers.

WOBURN, MA - April 29, 2009 - Daimer Industries, a leading manufacturer and distributor of commercial cleaning products, introduced two new power washers featuring its Automatic Shutoff Technology® (AST®), which switches off key components in electric-powered machines after 30 seconds of inactivity.

"AST® shuts off the pump and motor when the machine is idle," said Matthew Baratta, spokesperson for daimer.com. "This is a huge time-saver for power washer operators who are working a ways from the machine. Automatic-shutoff also limits overheating, and wear and tear on these two key components.

AST® Explained

AST® is a proprietary system that works as follows: When engaged, AST® shuts off the pump and motor after 30 seconds, if the gun is not in use and water is not flowing through the system. When the power washer operator pulls the trigger again, the motor and pump go on.

This feature is useful for applications in which the power washer operator is using a long hose, say, more than 25 feet, and it is not practical for them to go back and forth to the machine to turn it off during every break. The pumps and motors in conventional electric power washers remain active whether or not water is flowing through the system, which can damage the motor and pump.

The 12200AST and 12300AST Power Washers

The new Super Max® power washers also feature tri-mode technology that allows the systems to provide steam, hot water, and cold water depending on the cleaning application. The units use propane for heating.

Super Max® 12200AST power washers offer pressure levels of up to 2000 psi and flow rates of up to 4 GPM. In addition to cold water cleaning, the machines offer hot water temperatures of 180º F to 210º F and steam temperatures as high as 330º F.

The Super Max® 12300 machines offer pressure levels of up to 3000 psi, flow rates of up to 5 GPM and the same hot water and wet steam temperatures. This machine also offers adjustable pressure as an option for additional cost.

These mobile power washers are on wheels and include: a 25-foot, high-pressure steam hose; a three-foot trigger wand; assorted nozzles; and a powder-coated steel, high gloss, chip/chemical resistant case.
