Model FVXO-LC52 XpressO LVDS VCXO is 2.5 V oscillator with configurable frequency range of 0.75 MHz through 1.0 GHz. VCXOs incorporate ASICs that use 3rd order Delta Sigma Modulator to reduce noise levels. Operating in temperatures from -20 to +70°C or -40 to +85°C, oscillators offer frequency resolution to 6 decimal places and absolute pull range of +50 ppm. RoHS-compliant, package has tri-state enable/disable feature and is constructed with gold over nickel termination finish.
New Fox Electronics 2.5 V XpressO LVDS VCXOs Now Available in Low-Cost, Miniature 5 mm x 3.2 mm Package
Fort Myers, Fla. April 27, 2009 - Fox Electronics, a leading global supplier of frequency control solutions, has expanded its XpressO oscillator series to include a 2.5-volt LVDS VCXO version with a frequency range of 0.75 MHz through 1.0 GHz in a miniature 5 mm x 3.2 mm package at the same price point as the larger 7 mm x 5 mm package.
The new FVXO-LC52 oscillators are ideal for use in data storage, fiber channel, wireless repeaters, transponders, HDTV, FPGAs, data acquisition and military communications.
The revolutionary, configurable frequency XpressO oscillator series utilizes application specific integrated circuits (ASICs) that have been designed and developed by Fox, and concentrate on both noise reduction technologies as well as significantly lower jitter levels.
The FVXO-LC52 oscillators use a third order Delta Sigma Modulator (DSM) to reduce noise levels comparable to traditional bulk quartz and SAW oscillators. The latest technology on the market is employed in these oscillators, enabling optimal selection of the output type, input voltages and temperature performance features.
Shorter lead times and a 1 to 2 day shipment of samples are standard with the LVDS VCXO XpressO oscillators. In addition, production quantities are shipped within 10 days.
The new oscillators offer a frequency resolution to six decimal places, an absolute pull range (APR) of +50 ppm and operating temperatures of -20°C to +70°C or -40°C to +85°C.
These RoHS-compliant oscillators feature a miniature 5 mm x 3.2 mm package size with an industry standard footprint and pin-out, have a tri-state enable/disable feature and are constructed with a gold over nickel termination finish. In addition, this series incorporates Fox's patented serial identification system with comprehensive traceability to ensure quality control. All finished XpressO parts are 100% final tested.
Pricing for a FVXO-LC52B XpressO VCXO Oscillator at 212.5 MHz in quantities of 1,000 is $3.16 per unit. Delivery is next day for samples and 10 days for volume production.
