Intended for extruder manufacturers and compounders, ProFlex® C Model 6000 comes equipped with asymmetric flexible PUR feed-hopper and 8-point external agitation system that can be adjusted without influencing screw speed. Angular cut discharge nozzle optimizes accuracies by minimizing pulsation at low speeds. Integrated, dual strain gauge load cell-based multi-point weighing system serves as heart of ProFlex® C 6000 loss-in-weight metering capability.
Schenck AccuRate Expands the Plastics Industry Designed ProFlex® C Feeder Line with the New Model 6000
Schenck AccuRate completed the addition of the new high feed rate Model 6000 to its ProFlex® C feeder line. Like other ProFlex® C feeders the Model 6000 was designed specifically for extruder manufacturers and compounders providing maximum versatility in a cost efficient package that's easy to operate, reconfigure, clean, and service with feed rates up to 212 cubic feet per hour.
Flexibility was a key design goal for the ProFlex® C 6000. The AC drive motor assembly and material discharge positions can be exchanged, optimizing the feeders ability to accommodate different mounting and clustering requirements for up to eight feeders. Additionally, the gravimetric ProFlex® C 6000 comes equipped with an angular cut discharge nozzle improving accuracies by reducing pulsation at low speeds.
The ProFlex® C 6000 offers an asymmetric flexible PUR (Polyurethane) feed-hopper and an eight-point external agitation system that can be adjusted without influencing screw speed.
Servicing the feeder can be done from two different sides, which reduces space requirements while providing easy access to all critical components. Disassembly is done quickly and easily without the need for special tools.
An integrated, dual strain gauge load cell-based multi-point weighing system serves as the heart of the ProFlex® C 6000 loss-in-weight metering capability. Used in conjunction with Schenck AccuRate's DISOCONT® loss-in-weight controller, the ProFlex® C 6000 becomes a robust, reliable, high accuracy loss-in-weight feeding system capable of metering a very broad range of resins, colors, fillers, impact modifiers, and UV inhibitors.
