DVEO Launches Video Archival Server for MPEG-2/4/H.264 Transport Streams

VideoMirror(TM) Records and Stores Transport Streams for Continuous or Schedulable Playback

San Diego, CA -- DVEO, the broadcast division of CMI, announced today that they are shipping their new stand alone video archival server. VideoMirror(TM) will be featured at the NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) Show in Las Vegas, April 20-23 at Booth SU4908.

Designed to archive video streams for future reference, VideoMirror captures and plays back HD, MPEG-2 and H.264/AVC (MPEG-4 Part 10) streams via DVB interfaces. It also captures and plays back SMPTE 125M files via SMPTE 259M (SDI Video) interfaces.

VideoMirror includes an intuitive interface that gives users a quick way to record, analyze, preview, and play single and multiprogram streams. Transport streams are stored as a series of files, with the size of each file controlled by setting the number of bytes or the length of time. After the specified number of file segments is reached, VideoMirror over-writes the first file segment, thus maintaining the floating window at a fixed size. Individual files can be accessed while the VideoMirror is capturing video to the floating window. A file of interest can be viewed using MPEG analysis tools.

"With this reliable server and feature-rich interface, broadcasters can easily store and find archived video streams," stated Les Zoltan, Sales Manager for DVEO. "Plus, VideoMirror includes an advanced scheduler for playback by the day, week, month, or even year. This makes it ideal for playing video on a scheduled basis in places such as development labs, manufacturing shop floors, and trade shows."
