At less than 7 lb, PLC-XU355/XU350/XU305/XU300 support 1024 x 768 max resolution and have 4:3 aspect ratio. Model-dependent characteristics include brightness levels of 3,000 or 3,500 lumens and screen sizes from 30 or 40 in. min to 300 in. max. CHATSWORTH, Calif., April 9 -- SANYO, one of the world's largest manufacturers of LCD and DLP projectors, announces the introduction of four new ultra portable LCD projectors (PLC-XU355, PLC-XU350, PLC-XU305, PLC-XU300) providing new and unique features to make business and educational presentations easy for both expert and novice users.

Industry's First Wireless Connection via USB Memory
The PLC-XU355 and PLC-XU305 feature the industry's first "Simple Wireless Setting" using USB memory. By inserting the supplied USB memory drive into any PC or MAC, only a single click (in most cases) is required to create a wireless connection to the projector. Instantly, the computer's screen is being projected up to 98-feet away (distance may vary depending on environmental conditions).
Either projector can be connected wirelessly to multiple computers or up to five projectors can be connected to a single computer. No special programs or drivers need to be installed on the computer because the projector's USB terminal even allows the use of computers that do not have CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drives, such as the newly popular Netbooks.
Additionally, all four models are equipped with SANYO's exclusive PJ Network Interface, allowing for integration into a wired network, which makes it possible for the projector's functions and operation to be monitored from a long distance or within a web browser. Emails can even be sent automatically to report current operating status.
Easy Set-Up Functions
All four new models provide SANYO's latest Easy Set-up Function, which include Auto Input Signal Search, Auto Vertical Keystone Correction, and a Guidance Function. The Auto Input Signal Search automatically detects the input signal and makes the necessary internal settings. The Auto Vertical Keystone Correction function automatically detects its position angle and corrects for any image distortion. And finally, the Guidance Function displays on-screen connection instructions when there is no input signal detected, enabling easy setup for expert users and novices alike.
Other Features
Two models (XU355/305) are outfitted with a wide-range 1.6x optical zoom lens, allowing for flexible placement. The optical zoom lens allows for screen size adjustments and maintain image quality at the full zoom setting. The short-focus type lens enables the projection of a 100-inch image from as short a distance as 94 inches.
These same two models contain a built-in 7-watt mono speaker, allowing for multimedia presentations that contain audio, making it possible to have impromptu meetings anytime or anywhere. Moreover, these extremely slim (12.8 x 3.27 x 9.1-inch) projectors are also lightweight, weighing less than 7 pounds, making them highly portable.
All models can be powered up as soon as the power cord is connected. There is no need to press any buttons on the remote control or the projector. Moreover, there is no need to wait for the bulb to cool down after a presentation. The power cord can be disconnected immediately after turning off the projector. This makes it possible to set up and move through a presentation quickly or on the fly.
