Water-clear, solvent-based, and UV-curable, VueguardŽ 801 WC helps injection molders and other plastic processors optimize appearance and longevity of their products. Abrasion-resistant coating maintains optical clarity on molded plastics and can be applied via spray, dip, spin, and flow processes. VueguardŽ 801 WC is a water-clear, solvent-based UV curable coating that maintains optical clarity on molded plastics. In tests, using steel wool (0000) on PC substrates scratch resistance is increased by 5,000% -- no scratches at 50 psi and 25 revolutions. By offering in-house application of this coating, molders will be able to provide plastic products with superior appearance and longevity. The VueguardŽ 801 WC can be applied via spray, dip, spin, and flow processes. If molders require it, PCI can assist with the development of an in-house system to apply the coating or contract manufacturing.
