Wedge Flowmeters target process water applications.

April 7, 2009 - With flow range of 0.5-15 gpm full scale and ±2% accuracy, CE-compliant FW1000 Series uses minimally invasive wedge flow sensor, which provides restriction for sensing flow as related to pressure differential. Units require 12-35 Vdc for operation and output 0-5 Vdc. Measuring 10 x 3 ½ in., meters have flanged mounting base and require no inlet or outlet. Design allows installation in any full pipe orientation, including horizontal, vertical, or inverted.

New Product Release from OMEGA ENGINEERING--Wedge Flowmeter FW100

The new FW1000 series are a low-cost, minimally invasive series of wedge flow sensors. This unit offers high accuracy and repeatability with no required inlet or outlet straight plumbing. The design allows users to install the meter in any full pipe orientation (horizontal, vertical or inverted). This CE compliant series is offered with several flow ranges to accommodate the typical requirements in process water applications.

The segmented wedge element provides a simple and reliable restriction for sensing flow as related to pressure differential. The FW1000 design allows users to install the meter in any full pipe orientation (horizontal, vertical or inverted). It is compact and rugged measuring less than 254 mm (10") long and 89 mm (3½") wide, with a flanged mounting base for simple installation. This series is offered with several ranges of calibration to accommodate the requirements typical to process water applications. Three standard NPT port sizes are available to accommodate installations. The standard unit can also be converted to a 1 to 10 Vdc output in the field.
