NAB 2009: New DVS Video Board Perseus Delivers Perfect Images

At NAB 2009, DVS unveils Perseus, a new member of the renowned DVS video board family. Perseus processes uncompressed 4K material in real time and is ideally suited for all applications in the high-resolution arena.

Hanover/Las Vegas. DVS enhances its established OEM video board product line with the introduction of Perseus at NAB 2009. Meeting the demanding requirements of digital post production and high-level presentations, this PCIe interface board plays out uncompressed material in real time at resolutions up to 4096x3112.

Developers of high-end players and post production systems benefit from the high performance of Perseus. Since Perseus plays out uncompressed images, compression artifacts such as blurred pictures, faded colors and block artifacts can be prevented. A sophisticated SDK provides ideal opportunities for developing systems that meet the requirements of high-quality content creation.

All common 4K displays and projectors can be connected to Perseus via four DVI or four dual-link SDI interfaces. Its integrated 3D LUT offers real-time color management.

Juergen Heger, Senior Product Manager at DVS: "Like all DVS video boards Perseus delivers the highest reliability and stability for our customers. With its ability to process uncompressed image material in real time, Perseus perfectly suits the demands of high-end presentation and post production applications."
