Combining terminal emulator with Secure Shell protocol, SecureCRT® 6.2 provides IT professionals with multi-session editing, remote access, and ways to automate logging, including nightly log file rotation and ability to include parameter substitutions in file paths. SecureFX® 6.2 supports SFTP, FTP over SSL, as well as standard FTP. VanDyke Software Announces New Releases of SecureCRT 6.2 and SecureFX 6.2 That Streamline Workflow for IT Professionals
VanDyke's Secure Shell clients for remote access and file transfer provide fast multi-session editing, new logging functions, and better control of authentication
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., March 31 /-- VanDyke Software(R), a developer of Secure Shell solutions that balance strong security with ease of use, today announced the official releases of SecureCRT(R) 6.2 and SecureFX(R) 6.2.
"Many of our customers are network administrators who work with dozens, if not hundreds, of sessions during their workday. For these IT professionals, SecureCRT and SecureFX 6.2 let them quickly and easily apply settings and password changes to a number of sessions at the same time," said Maureen Jett, VanDyke Software's Product Director.

Resuming workflow is now easier with an option to have the applications remember and start up the sessions you were working in the last time you ran the program. Also in this latest release of SecureCRT are new ways to automate logging, including nightly log file rotation and the ability to include parameter substitutions in file paths.
For file transfer, SecureFX 6.2 introduces filters for fine-tuning site synchronization that can be set up to allow you to perform operations such as excluding .svn folders or uploading only HTML files to a web server. According to Carl Hamilton, a software engineer using SecureFX 6.2, "...the filtering feature does exactly what I need. Combined with the synchronization database, SecureFX has become an almost perfect tool for the way I work."
SecureCRT 6.2 and SecureFX 6.2 also simplify smart-card authentication with PKCS #11 support and introduce native 64-bit versions for customers using x64 Windows.
