Tension & Compression Load Cell Available with USB Output

FUTEK Introduces LCB500 Tension & Compression Load Cell with USB option

Contact: John Vargas or John Schnell at info@futek.com

FUTEK Advanced Sensor Technology, Inc. (FUTEK) has just added the LCB500 Tension & Compression Load Cell to their USB Sensor Solution Line. The new module with USB output eliminates the need for an analog amplifier, power supply, and display equipment making usage that much easier. The plug and play gives you power to monitor the output of the sensor and enjoy measurement and are less affected by noise, temperature variation or power supply requirement. The USB integration also includes FUTEK's USB Software which allows users to monitor the output of the Sensor in real time. This particular model is available in Stainless Steel construction and features a compact rugged design.

The LCB500 is machined from a single block of metal, so the primary sensing element, the mountings and the case contain no welds allowing smaller dimensions and an enhanced grade of protection. The configuration of the point of measurement reduces errors caused by imperfect application of the load. Typical applications of load cells connected in parallel are: silos, hoppers, large weighing platforms, and with suitable accessories, suspended loads. The stainless steel construction is suitable for use in aggressive environments in the chemical and petrochemical industries.

Model LCB500 is a Tension and Compression Load Cell (can be used as Rod End with mounting plates) for Inline Actuators or Hydraulic Jacks with Male/Female Threads. The standard LCB500 Tension and Compression Load Cell model has male/female threads, is a welded unit and comes with a Bendix Receptacle. This model is well suited for both low ranges to high range capacity applications (100 lb - 5,000 lb).

This Tension and Compression Load Cell has high accuracy, excellent resistance to high extraneous loads, and high stiffness. It has Nonlinearity of ±0.25%, and Deflection of 0.002 to 0.005" nominal. Tension and Compression load cells are strain gauge transducers used to measure loads in static and dynamic applications such as, industrial weighing, laboratory testing, and automation. The standard LCB500 Tension and Compression Load Cell can be modified or customized to meet your requirements. Similar to our entire Load Cell product line, this model is manufactured in US, and uses metal foil strain gauge technology.

Product Highlights:

Light Weight (1 lb)

One piece construction

Bendix Receptacle

Optional Mating Connector

Low Deflection

Stainless Steel

In both Tension & Compression

Low Range to High Capacity applications

Utilizes Metal Foil Strain Gauge Technology

For those who are a looking for a complete system solution, FUTEK can provide both signal conditioned displays or our VCal Portable System. FUTEK's VCal Portable System brings an easy-to-use system verification directly to the customer making it ideal for on-site verification and calibration of your products. FUTEK TFF Series is also available with TEDS / IEEE1451.4 option.
