Solar Cell Labels withstand UV rays and extreme weather.

April 3, 2009 - For production control purposes and traceability, TTR-printable Embedded Labels are applied directly to ethylene-vinyl-acetate sheet of solar PV module. To communicate power rating, safety-oriented Power Labels conform to requirements of EN 50380 and are generated directly after module's flasher test. Weather-resistant Branding Labels are applied to solar module's frame, displaying manufacturers' logo without quality degradation for many years.

Schreiner ProTech Unveils Suite of Labeling Solutions Specially Engineered for Solar Cell Applications

Durable Labels Manufactured to Withstand Extreme Environments and Long-Term Exposure to Sun's UV Rays

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., March 23 /-- Schreiner ProTech today announced the introduction of a suite of high-performance labeling solutions designed specifically for solar cell applications. Labels used for production control, track & trace, branding, power rating, and nameplates must be able to permanently withstand extreme UV and weather conditions, as well as meet a number of legal requirements. Schreiner ProTech now offers three unique labels specially designed to address every need.

Every solar PV module manufactured today is durably marked with an individual code for production control purposes and definitive traceability. Schreiner ProTech has therefore developed a TTR-printable, dimensionally stable Embedded Label for application directly to the EVA (ethylene-vinyl-acetate) sheet of the solar module.

In order to communicate crucial power rating and manufacturer information on the back of solar PV modules and comply with legal requirements, Schreiner ProTech has also engineered specific Power Labels. These safety-oriented labels conform to the requirements of EN 50380 and are generated directly after the module's flasher test.

Schreiner ProTech's weather-resistant Branding Labels play an important part in communicating and reinforcing the PV module manufacturers' brand image and their market position. These are applied to the solar module's frame, clearly displaying the manufacturers' logo without experiencing any quality degradation for many years.

Manufacturers seeking reliable protection from industrial pirates require tamper- and counterfeit-proof marking solutions. Therefore, Schreiner ProTech Module Branding Labels leverage innovative Color Laser Film (CLF) technology. The CLF Label is laminated in to each module without producing any emissions.

All of Schreiner ProTech's solutions for the solar industry are cost-effective, have been awarded UL approvals and passed extensive material and durability tests, providing users with higher assurance of reliability and safety.
