Alcan Cable Launches New Adjust-to-Fit(TM) Line of Brackets for MODEX(TM) Brand of Modular Wiring Systems
MONTREAL, March 18 -- Alcan Cable, part of Alcan Engineered Products - a business unit of Rio Tinto Alcan - introduces the new Adjust-to-Fit(TM) line of adjustable wall and floor brackets for its MODEX(TM) brand of modular wiring systems.
"Ease of installation and being able to adapt to job site changes are common concerns for our customers. The Adjust-to-Fit(TM) line is designed to help with simple, quick installation of prefabricated wiring assemblies by addressing the challenge of on-site design modifications," said Howard H. Atkins, Director of Marketing and Business Development, Alcan Cable.
The MODEX(TM) Adjust-to-Fit(TM) line consists of 16" and 24" adjustable wall brackets which can support up to three electrical box positions. Adjustments can be made for both stud width and box positioning. The new adjustable floor bracket offers several different box configurations and box height can be adjusted from 6" to 20". In addition, the new line consists of both a 3 1/2" to 6" adjustable support arm and a stud-to-stud support arm that adjusts from 16" to 24".
MODEX(TM) Modular Wiring Systems are UL approved, complete custom wiring assemblies offering total installed cost savings. Unlike the traditional pipe and wire method, Alcan Cable's MODEX(TM) modular systems eliminate the need for on-site component assembly by skilled labor. MODEX(TM) wiring assemblies are also delivered directly to the job site in pre-packaged units using a just-in-time schedule, which minimizes material shrinkage and handling costs.
