Douglas New Divider Inserting Technology Speeds Up Production
Alexandria, Minnesota - March 13, 2009
Douglas Machine Inc. recently released new rack open divider placing technology that speeds up production. The new technology maintains control of the divider from the time it is picked from the magazine until it is placed between the products, increasing case packing production speeds to 60 cycles per minute (product dependent). Higher speeds are achieved by adding additional divider placers. The enhanced control also ensures accurate blank placement between the products for uninterrupted machine operation, increasing operating efficiencies.
Unlike traditional divider placing technology, only one magazine per divider placer is required, maximizing floor space. The magazine is conveniently located for easy access when loading blanks, eliminating overhead blank loading and satisfying ergonomics. Quick-attach replacement heads are all that's needed when changing product sizes resulting in quick, tool-free changeovers. Smooth, continuous motion operation ensures less wear and tear on components, reducing maintenance time and costs.
All Douglas Machine solutions are backed by our 3-year limited warranty.
