Chemstar Corporation's New Formulation of Glass Cleaner Yields Significant Financial and Environmental Savings

ATLANTA, March 12 /-- Chemstar Corporation, a global leader in commercial food safety and sanitation solutions, has introduced an ultra-concentrated formulation of glass cleaner that is safer for the environment, delivers better performance, and provides considerable overall cost savings.

Identified as a Design for the Environment (DfE) product, Chemstar Glass Cleaner Concentrate is comprised of ingredients determined by the EPA to be the safest in their class. Because it contains no volatile organic compounds (VOCs), it is less harmful to the environment and atmosphere. The new formulation reflects Chemstar's GREENSTAR Commitment(TM) to promote sustainability in all parts of their operations, from products and production to packaging and equipment.

"We're continually developing new ways to design and reformulate our products so we can lessen our impact on the environment," said Blake Batley, executive vice president at Chemstar. "Not only does our DfE Glass Cleaner Concentrate perform better, it provides a lower overall cost-per-use than traditional concentrated glass cleaners."

Chemstar DfE Glass Cleaner Concentrate utilizes new polymeric-based chemistry, resulting in a product that resists streaking and leaves surfaces shinier. Because it is twice as concentrated as conventional concentrated glass cleaners, the number of cases a company typically purchases, ships, and handles could be reduced by as much as 50 percent. In a commercial industrial environment, the savings can quickly add up: a single case of Chemstar DfE Glass Cleaner Concentrate can refill a quart-sized spray bottle 640 times. Companies would also lessen their environmental impact due to the significant reduction in the amount of packaging and corrugate waste.

"We know companies want to choose green products, but they often end up costing more to use," said Batley. "Our product is not only better for customers, employees, and the environment, but it also provides tremendous cost savings - it's truly a win-win for everybody."

For nearly 30 years, Chemstar Corporation has been providing comprehensive food safety, sanitation, and hygiene solutions for companies worldwide in industries such as retail supermarkets, foodservice, restaurants, hospitality, food processing, and healthcare institutions. Chemstar provides modern technology platforms to support auditing, data collection, analysis, and reporting of safety and quality assurance data.
