TCP EcoVations(TM) Boosts Energy Efficiency, Extends Illumination Reach with New LED Dock Light

Aurora, Ohio - (February 19, 2009) - EcoVations(TM), the fixture division of lighting innovator TCP, Inc, introduces a 16-watt LED Dock Light as an energy efficient alternative to halogen and incandescent dock lights used in shipping and receiving loading docks. The EcoVations LED Dock Light exceeds IESNA industry recommendations by providing a uniform light level averaging six footcandles at the back of a 53-foot trailer. It is available as an easy retrofit for existing dock arms or as a combo package including dock arm and mounting hardware for new construction or complete replacement.

The 16-watt LED Dock Light uses 82 percent less energy than 90-watt PAR 38 halogen products, significantly reducing energy costs while protecting the environment. Routine maintenance and replacement costs are also reduced due to a 50,000-hour average rated life. It's available with either NEMA 5-15 or C14 plug styles and is UL rated for wet locations. With solid state LEDs in a durable housing, the dock light is built to withstand the harsh conditions often associated with shipping and receiving areas. The LED Dock Light's versatility makes it ideal for a variety of additional applications, including machine stations, inspection stations and other rough service applications. It's also well suited for indoor and outdoor spot lighting and flagpole spot lighting.

EcoVations offers a full line of energy efficient linear fluorescent fixtures, LED lighting fixtures, and GU recessed downlights for use in commercial and industrial applications.

TCP, Inc. is the global leader in energy efficient lighting innovations dedicated to creating high-quality products that are brighter, longer lasting and better for the environment.
