New Xtra-Duty Folding Security Gates

Chicago, Illinois- February 17, 2009- New Xtra-Duty folding gate designs from Illinois Engineered Products (IEP) provide instant access control and front-line security while providing line-of-sight visibility and air circulation. IEP's Xtra-Duty models of collapsible gates offer flexible and effective security. When locked, they provide a strong physical and visual barrier to potential intruders; while closed or stacked, these vertical bar gates fold discretely out of the way.

Xtra-Duty gates from IEP, reinforced with a minimum of two rows of lattice bars, offer the strongest line of defense against unwanted entry. The Xtra-Duty line of gates has twice the weight of steel found in the standard Heavy-Duty folding gates, yielding twice the durability and security.

For school corridor applications, IEP Xtra-Duty gates provide easy-to-use complete security with the ability to be quickly concealed when not in use: when attached to the wall with a hinge mechanism, they easily fold and swing out of the corridor for complete access. IEP offers this new line of Xtra-Duty school gates in both single- and double-gate configurations. These units feature folding top and folding bottom tracks that when expanded, create the most sturdy blockade from unwanted access.

For portable security applications, IEP provides the kind of flexibility that exceeds normal location requirements. The Xtra-Duty portable gate models are designed for use as traffic control units in schools, park district facilities, churches, community centers and retail store aisles.

Compact and easy to operate, the IEP portable Xtra-Duty designs come configured in three styles of locking mechanisms to accommodate a variety of needs: pressure fit, side-locking and floor mounting versions complete the line. As with all IEP gates, the portable models can be custom-made to fit any size opening and can accommodate a variety of installation options, making IEP security solutions a great fit for key applications where quick and easy traffic control is required.

For retail security storefront applications, Xtra-Duty gates from IEP provide around-the-clock, 7-day-a-week security, allowing business owners to be stress-free after business hours. IEP provides a cost-effective visual and physical front-line security deterrent to would-be intruders. These gates remain unobtrusive when opened since they are fully retractable, becoming virtually invisible to customers during store hours.

Illinois Engineered Products, Inc., is a leading manufacturer of standard and customized barrier gate products for warehousing, industrial, educational, government and other retail installations. Headquartered in Chicago, IL (USA), IEP services customers through a national network of distributors.
