Waveform Generators include single- and dual-channel models.

March 10, 2009 - Single-channel Model 4075 and dual-channel 4078 arbitrary waveform/function generators utilize Direct Digital Synthesis architecture to generate sine and square waveforms up to 25 MHz. Both produce waveforms with 14-bit amplitude resolution, 100 MSa/s sample rate, and up to 400,000 points length, which can be output in continuous, triggered, gated, or burst modes. Products include internal or external AM, FM, and FSK modulation and can be remotely controlled via RS-232 interface.

25 MHz Arbitrary/Function Generators Deliver Precision Waveforms at an Affordable Price

Yorba Linda, CA February, 2009 - B&K Precision introduces two new models of high performance, full featured 25 MHz Arbitrary/Function Generators with the largest arbitrary memory depth in their class.

Models 4075 and 4078 combine the ability to produce nearly any conceivable arbitrary waveform with accuracy and precision and use Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) architecture to generate Sine and Square Waveforms up to 25 MHz. At an attractive price of only $1,495 for the single channel Model 4075 and $2,350 for the dual channel Model 4078, they are best suited for cost conscious engineers in the electronics, automotive, aerospace, government, medical and computer industries.

Both Models produce arbitrary waveforms having 14 bit amplitude resolution, 100 MSa/s sample rate and up to 400,000 points length. Waveforms can be output in continuous, triggered, gated or burst modes. Front panel operation is straightforward and user-friendly and the instruments can be remotely controlled using SCPI-compliant commands via RS-232.

Extensive features such as internal or external AM, FM, and FSK modulation, along with versatile sweep capabilities, variable edge pulse generation and programmable markers make these generators suitable for a wide range of applications including electronic design, sensor simulation, and functional test or generation of I/Q modulated signals.

Key features common to both models include:

o 25 MHz Sine and Square waveforms

o 14-bit, 100 MSa/s, 400 k point Arbitrary waveform generator

o 10 mVpp to 10 Vpp with 1 mVpp settable amplitude resolutions

o Large bright graphical LCD display shows a detailed output waveform representation

o Fully programmable markers

o Optional GPIB versions available

Features and benefits specific to the Dual Channel Model 4078 include:

o Both channels offer full functionality.

o All waveform parameters such as frequency, amplitude, and offset can be set independently

o Economical baseband I/Q signal source

o Saves cost and bench space

Pricing and Availability

Available for immediate delivery, the Model 4075 Single Channel Arbitrary/Function Generator is priced at $1,495 and the Dual Channel Model 4078 Arbitrary/Function Generator is priced at $2,350. Both instruments come with a line cord, CD containing user instruction manual and Wave-X software, null modem serial interface cable, and B&K Precision's outstanding three year warranty.
