Airflow system features debris baffles and L-shape intake vents, which protect motor and other internal components by blocking debris particles. Multi-Port Exhaust allows hot air to escape on all 4 sides of gear case, keeping motor cool.
02/17/2009 MILWAUKEE, WI - Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation announces a new line of high performance small angle grinders that deliver the power, electronic features and productivity industrial users demand. With this introduction of eight new high performance grinders, in addition to the seven models launched in November, Milwaukee extends its commitment to industrial metalworking.
Featuring a 12 Amp 1490 MWO motor, Milwaukee® high performance grinders include advanced electronics such as Constant Power Technology and Overload Limit Protection that optimize performance and protect the grinder from overheating. Electronic Shut-Off will shut down the grinder when the wheel is stalled in a pinch which increases user control and the overall life of the tool. These grinders provide the power and advanced electronics that ensure performance from start to finish. The advanced airflow system includes Debris Baffles, L-shape intake vents, which provide protection to the motor and other internal components by blocking debris particles so that clean air flows through the grinder. The new grinders also feature Multi-Port Exhaust which allows hot air to escape rapidly on all four sides of the gear case keeping the motor cool and providing optimal performance. To increase productivity, the new grinders include a tool free adjustable guard that allows users to quickly and easily rotate the guard without a tool. The guard is also burst resistant - in the event of a wheel burst, positive detents hold the guard in place more securely making it less likely to rotate. Paddle, slide, and trigger-grip switches provide a variety of options to meet any user preference.
