Ceragon Introduces MAST(TM) - End-to-End, LTE-Ready Backhaul Solutions

Ceragon's Mobile Architecture for Service Transport (MAST) Delivers Service-Aware Solutions for Scalable and Cost-optimized Mobile Backhaul Network Transition

TEL AVIV, Israel, February 11/--Ceragon Networks Ltd. (NASDAQ: CRNT) (TASE: CRNT), a leading provider of high-capacity, LTE-ready wireless backhaul solutions, today introduced MAST(TM) - a network architecture that goes beyond "pure transport". MAST, the Mobile Architecture for Services Transport, includes an interoperable ecosystem, enabling operators to profitably evolve mobile networks by using multiple backhaul and networking alternatives. Built around Ceragon's leading edge FibeAir(R) family of products, MAST also includes innovative and multi-functional network solutions from Ceragon partners that complement Ceragon's offering. With MAST, operators can maximize the potential of existing networks, while benefiting from a clear and cost efficient transition path towards LTE-ready backhaul networks.

MAST features a set of solutions that target transition in three main layers: Transport, Network and Service. Based on Ceragon's market leading wireless technology, MAST supports a broad range of transport applications for access and aggregation backhaul. At the network layer, Ceragon MAST supports diverse networking technologies including NG-SDH/SONET, Hybrid native TDM and native IP (Native2), Pseudowire, carrier-grade Ethernet and pure IP. In addition, MAST offers a comprehensive set of service tools to ensure end-to-end QoS and OA&M that help to further increase network efficiency and optimization.

"As mobile networks evolve beyond simple connectivity, operators must address new network challenges. This need will only intensify with the advent of LTE which requires higher capacities, and enhanced performance," said Ira Palti, President and CEO of Ceragon. "The MAST concept brings together the technology, skills and expertise required for successfully constructing complete LTE-ready backhaul architectures. We continue to strengthen our product portfolio to support our customers' legacy networks - while allowing them to gradually grow their performance and capacity."

MAST will be presented by Ceragon at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Hall 1 stand D01 on February 16-19, 2009.
