SecureWorks Upgrades Managed Log Retention Service with New, Proprietary LogVault(TM) Appliance

Upgraded Log Retention Service Provides Affordable Alternative to Log Management Products for PCI Compliance and other Regulatory Requirements

ATLANTA, Feb. 2 /- SecureWorks(R), a leading Security as a Service provider, announced today that it has upgraded its Managed Log Retention Service with the launch of its own proprietary log retention appliance, LogVault(TM). One of the key benefits of using SecureWorks' LogVault appliance and Managed Log Solution is that it gives organizations an affordable, fully managed alternative to the log management products currently on the market. SecureWorks' upgraded Managed Log Retention Service provides a robust solution to organizations for aggregating and archiving all relevant logs, as required by regulations such as PCI, GLBA, NERC and HIPAA.

SecureWorks' log retention appliance, LogVault, is able to capture logs from informational assets within the organization's IT environment: firewalls, routers, computer servers, network intrusion prevention and detection systems, databases, etc. LogVault collects and archives the raw logs in such a way that they are tamper-proof and forensic quality, thus meeting compliance requirements.

Once collected and archived, organizations are then able to use SecureWorks' flexible, powerful and web-based Client Portal to search, review and analyze the logs, as well as download the logs with ease. SecureWorks has included pre-built, compliance-related searches for logs to aid the clients in their searches for specific logs. SecureWorks can have LogVault and the supporting Managed Log Retention Service up and running at a client organization within a matter of hours, depending on the complexity of the implementation. With this new upgraded service, SecureWorks is leveraging much of the patented Sherlock Technology, which is its industry-leading, event aggregation platform.

"What makes our upgraded Managed Log Retention Service so attractive is its robustness, flexibility and price point," said Corey Merchant, VP, Product Management. "Using LogVault and the SecureWorks Managed Log Retention Service, organizations can securely archive, search, analyze and download logs from any informational asset within their IT environment and all at an affordable price."

The cost for SecureWorks' Managed Log Retention Service, using LogVault, starts at $14,500. This includes a one-time purchase of the LogVault appliance for $8,000 and an annual service fee of $6,500.
