Hot Bar Soldering Systems bond unlikely materials to PCBs.

February 5, 2009 - Employing thermode technology, semi-automatic Hot Bar Soldering Systems generate rapid reflow by pulse heating. System PBS212 offers in/out shuttle that moves processing linearly, while system PBS213 utilizes in/out 180º rotating table. Both perform bonding process automatically and also exit without operator intervention. All elements of soldering profile are programmable, including pressure, temperature, heat-up, and cool-down times.

Manncorp Hot Bar Soldering Systems Bond Unlikely Materials

Innovative hot bar soldering systems designed to solve the challenges of bonding unlikely materials to PCBs -- such as flex circuits, ribbon cables, wires, edge connectors and more - are now available from Manncorp.

These semi-automatic machines, also referred to as pulse bonders, employ thermode technology to generate rapid reflow by pulse heating. This procedure allows materials with low temperature resistance to be soldered at lead-free-compatible high temperatures without damage to the devices being permanently attached to circuit boards.

Two systems are offered, which differ only in their feeding mechanisms. System PBS212 offers an in/out shuttle that moves processing linearly, while system PBS213 does it with an in/out 180º rotating table. Both machines perform the bonding process automatically and also exit without operator intervention. All elements of the soldering profile are programmable, including pressure, temperature, heat-up and cool-down times. Processing duration ranges 12 to 15 seconds.

The systems, including thermodes and fixtures, are Internet-priced $12,500 for PBS212 and $13,500 for the PBS213 with rotary table. For details, access https://www.manncorp.com/hot-bar-solde...
