Model VL-6000 employs large-area silicon photodiode with precise photometric correction filter (f1' less than 5%) and front barrel housing 50 mm dia achromatic corrected lens. In combination with single- or multi-channel optometer, illuminance resolution is less than 1 microlux (50 µlx with SNR of 50). Absolute calibration is in amperes/lux (typ sensitivity 477 nA/lx), and optional calibration in cd/m² for luminance measurements (typ sensitivity 0.3 nA/cd/m²) is also available.
A new photometric detector with a large diameter front lens for high sensitivity illuminance measurement has been developed by Gigahertz-Optik for night vision applications, sleep studies, sky light simulation, zoological night habit studies and general low light level photometry.
The VL-6000 employs a large area low noise Silicon photodiode with a precise photometric correction filter (f1' <5%) and front barrel housing a 50 mm diameter achromatic corrected lens.
In combination with a Gigahertz-Optik single or multi-channel optometer illuminance resolution is less than 1 microlux (50 µlx with a signal to noise ratio of 50). For comparison, starlight illuminance is about one millilux.
Certification of absolute calibration in amperes/lux (typical sensitivity 477nA/lx) including relative spectral responsivity plot is supplied for each detector. Optional calibration in cd/m² for luminance measurements (typical luminance sensitivity 0.3 nA/cd/m²) is also available. The VL-6000 field of view is 1.72 degrees.
The VL-6000 Detector price is $2460 including calibration.
