Pressure Sensors suit medical air applications.

January 20, 2009 - Featuring piezo-resistive sensing element in low-profile surface mount package, P6060 Pressure Sensors use 5 V input to provide 0.5-4.5 Vdc linear analog amplified output proportional to pressure. Internal temperature compensation using ASIC insures accurate ±1% of span total error band over 0-60°C. Available in pressure ranges of 13 in. H2O and 0-1 through 0-75 psia, psig, and psid, sensors are suited for oxygen concentrators, respirators, and ventilators.

Kavlico P6060 Pressure Sensors are Ideal for Medical Air Applications

Moorpark, CA-Kavlico, a global business unit of Custom Sensors & Technologies (CST) has recently introduced the P6060 high accuracy pressure sensors that are suitable for air pressure measurements in:

o Oxygen concentrators

o Respirators

o Ventilators

These rugged, lightweight (1.3 grams Max.) devices have a piezo-reseitive (PRT) sense element in a low-profile surface mount package. Small in size, the sensors measure 21.29 x 16.71 mm.

Using a 5 volt input, the sensors provide a 0.5 to 4.5 Vdc linear analog amplified output proportional to pressure. The user has the option to specify a digital output that conforms to SPI protocol.

Internal temperature compensation using a state-of-the-art ASIC insures an accurate ±1% of span total error band (TEB) over 0 to +60°C. Available pressure ranges include 13" H20 and 0-1 through 0-75 PSIA, PSIG, and PSID.

The easy-to-use P6060 sensors are EMI/RFI and ESD protected, experience no mounting position effects and provide a fast response. The sensors can be configured with custom pressure ranges and port connections dependent upon the end-users application-specific requirements.

For applications that do not require a ±1% accuracy, the P6050/P6060pressure sensors is available with a ±2% TEB specification over temperature. As an additional benefit, the sensors are RoHS compliant.
