VisionXP employs complete flux residue management system, which combines pyrolysis action mechanisms in preheating and peak zones with cold condensation in cooling zone. Complex molecules are broken down into simpler substances via temperatures from 500 to 900°C in anaerobic environment to avoid burning. Liquid residues and crystalline residues are thus reduced, resulting in optimal efficiency by providing cleaner process chamber and 12 month maintenance intervals.
Rehm Thermal Systems recently announced the launch of an advanced new flux residue management system deployed within the heating zones of their VXP convection reflow ovens.
Rehm Pyrolysis is the thermally induced decomposition of organic compounds. Complex molecules are broken down into simpler substances with the use of high temperatures (500-900°C) taking place in a largely oxygen free (anaerobic) environment to avoid burning.
Rehm Chief Commercial Officer Marc Dalderup explains further. "Pyrolysis is the thermal splitting of long molecular chains into shorter ones, which significantly reduces the amount of condensable waste and unwanted dripping within the process chamber. The remaining residues are then captured within a special granulate. Perhaps best of all, Rehm Pyrolysis is nearly maintenance free, requiring only an exchange of the granulate at 12 month intervals. "
The VisionXP's complete residue management system combines pyrolysis action mechanisms in the preheating and peak zones with cold condensation in the cooling zone. In this manner both the amount of liquid residues and crystalline residues are dramatically reduced. As a result the VisionXP achieves a higher efficiency than systems in the market using other techniques by providing both a cleaner process chamber and greatly extended maintenance intervals.
