Irvine, Calif. - Intellian Technologies, a world leader in marine satellite entertainment and communications, announced today the latest addition to its line of satellite TV antennas for marine applications, the i4P. Fully compatible with Ku-band satellites around the world, the i4P is specifically designed to enhance the quality of reception in areas with linear polarization satellites. Combining a number of Intellian technological innovations into a compact form factor, the i4P includes an automatic skew angle control system to ensure the highest quality reception available within the same antenna dish size and eliminate the need for manual adjustment of the skew angle under the antenna dome. Easy to install and operate, the i4P is the ideal solution for boaters who travel to distant locations and desire a hassle free satellite system solution.
Designed to maximize satellite TV reception in rough sea conditions and at greater distances than competing systems, the Intellian i4P features a built-in GPS and Auto Skew Control, and employs a sophisticated Wide Range Search (WRS) algorithm that is uniquely suited to quickly search, find and hold Ku-band satellite signals. The i4P leverages WRS and Intellian's pioneering Dynamic Beam Tilting (DBT) technology to ensure clear, interruption-free program viewing. Unique to Intellian's DBT is an exclusive sub-reflector, which provides precise tracking and signal reception even in rough seas or at speed by automatically adjusting to maximize signal, and picture and sound quality.

Compatible with all satellite services, the i4P's key features, automatic skew angle control system and built-in GPS, are optimized for use with linear polarization satellite TV services such as, Sky Mexico in Mexico, Hotbird and Astra in Europe and StarChoice in Canada. The antenna features vertical and horizontal polarization and is designed to operate in +/- 25-degree rolls and +/- 15-degree pitches. The 17.7-inch antenna dish is housed in a 21.2-inch high dome with a 19.7-inch diameter, and weighs 26.5 pounds. The i4P provides convenient one cable connection to the Antenna Control Unit (ACU) for easy installation and access. Both FCC and CE approved, the i4P is waterproof rated to the IPx6 standard and has an operating temperature range of 5- to 130-degrees Fahrenheit. The i4P, and all Intellian Technologies antennas, are protected by a 2-year parts, and 1-year labor, limited warranty.
