ATI Introduces New High-Power Tool Changer Module

MT9 module passes current up to 28 amps, 500VAC/700VDC

Apex, NC, November 17, 2008

ATI has just introduced a new high-power Tool Changer electrical module that passes current up to 28 amps, 500VAC/700VDC and includes Amphenol MS-style connectors and a protective earth safety ground. Other features include a fluid-resistant seal on the contacts and specially designed contact pins for low resistance.

The MT9 module is a breakthrough in engineering, realized through customer demand for a high-power Tool Changer module that could pass more current than the existing MT8 20 amp module and still be contained in a compact design. Other high-power modules are available such as the Heavy Automation PA2 200 amp module that was specifically designed for spot welding applications that do not require the compact design of the MT9 module.

The MT9 module has undergone rigorous testing to ensure that it exceeds specifications. The MT9 module is compatible with ATI Tool Changer models: QC-110, QC-150, QC-300 and QC-510. Contact ATI for compatibility with smaller model Tool Changers or to pass higher current.
