Passive Gen 2 RFID Tag is used for tire identification.


January 7, 2009 - Applied to inside of tire during building process, Cruiser (GAO 116408) 865-928 MHz Gen 2 Passive Tag withstands associated pressures as well as temperatures (32 to 320°F) of tire curing process. This 16 x 74 x 0.3 mm tag uses EPC Class 1 Gen 2 communication protocol and has 3-4 m read range, permitting wireless identification and tracking of tires produced and handled in supply chains. Adhesive-mounted product supports reading temperatures from -4 to +149°.

GAO Tek Introduces Passive Gen 2 RFID Tag


Toronto, Canada - GAO Tek Inc. has released a newly designed 865MHz to 928MHz Gen 2 Passive Tag called the "Cruiser" (GAO 116408). This RFID tag is designed specifically to be applied to the inside of the tire during the tire building process and is designed to withstand the high heat and pressure required during the tire curing process.

GAO's 865MHz to 928MHz RFID Gen 2 Passive Tag is a long range tag used for vehicle tire identification. It allows wireless tracking of tires while being produced and handled in the supply chain.

Specifications of GAO's 865MHz to 928MHz Gen 2 Cruiser Tag:
o Dimensions: 16x74mm, thickness 0,3mm; 0.63 x 2.9 inches, thickness 12 miles
o Frequency range: 865MHz to 928MHz
o Communication protocol: EPC Class 1 Gen 2
o Read range: 3m to 4m; 9.8 feet to 13 feet
o IC and memory size: 96-bit EPC Impinj Monza; 512-bit EPC NXP UCODE
o Process temperature: 0° to 160°; 32° to 320°
o Reading temperature: -20° to 65°; -4° to 149°
o Mounting: Adhesive
