Model OMB5200-120 dual fan tray blower assembly delivers 340 cfm of directed airflow at 57 dB and provides over 6 yr of continuous operation at 25°C. It features cleanable and replaceable aluminum mesh filter accessed from removable front panel, and rear-mounted, dual ball bearing AC fans, rated for 3,500 rpm, which are protected with metal finger guards. Unit is powered by standard AC power cable with 3-prong plug and is UL/cUL-, TUV-, and CE-approved.
Orion Fans Develops Rack-Mounted Fan Tray Blower Assembly for 19" Rack Cabinets
DALLAS, TX (December 11, 2008) - For design engineers looking for a compact cooling solution for rack-mounted industrial enclosures and electronic equipment cabinets, Orion Fans has developed a dual fan tray blower assembly designed to mount directly into standard EIA 19" rack cabinets. Designated the OMB5200-120 Series, the fan tray assembly delivers 340cfm of directed airflow and features a cleanable/replaceable aluminum mesh filter.
"Several customers approached Orion Fans when they experienced delivery interruptions and long lead times for these blower assemblies from their previous supplier, so we designed the OMB5200 Series as a drop-in replacement for any standard 3U rack-mounted AC fan tray," said Kevin Knight, Marketing Manager for Orion Fans. "And they're available in six weeks."
"In addition to the standard AC fan units, we can also deliver fan trays with DC fans, which gives customers the options of adding thermistor control, tachometer output, PWM input, constant speed control, and rotation detection alarm functions to the assembly," Knight added.
According to Knight, the Orion Fans' rack-mounted fan tray assemblies are being specified for industrial controls, servers, telecommunications, networking equipment, computer equipment, motor drives and cabinets, and electrical/electronic enclosures and panels.
The fan tray blower assemblies feature an enclosed case designed to mount directly to any standard 3U slot in an EIA 19" rack system.
A replaceable and cleanable aluminum mesh filter is accessed from the removable front chrome grill panel, and the rear-mounted fans are protected with metal finger guards. A standard AC power cable with 3-prong plug provides power to the unit. All Orion fan trays are UL/cUL, TUV and CE approved.
The OMB5200-120 Series feature two dual ball bearing AC fans
(115 VAC nominal voltage/70W input power 230VAC also available), rated for 3500rpm. The assembly produces a combined airflow of 340cfm with a noise level of 57dB. The fan tray assembly is designed to provide over 6 years of continuous operation at 25°C.
Orion will provide additional customization or value added services, including DC fan options, depending on customer requirements.
OEM pricing for the OMB5200-120 Series fan trays starts at $330.00 each, with orders generally available within six weeks in the US and Europe from Orion or Orion authorized stocking distributors. JIT delivery programs are available worldwide.
