Magnetron Transmitter Modules provide RF radar control.

January 6, 2009 - Designed for all major transmitter technologies, DTI PowerMod(TM) High Power Solid-State Magnetron Transmitter modules deliver peak RF powers of 3-50 kW and can drive magnetrons across L to Ka band frequency range. They provide RF control to within less than 0.1%; provide 50 ns rise/fall, adjustable from pulse-to-pulse; and support pulse repetition frequencies up to 400 kHz. Measuring 10 x 13 x 9 in., devices include 2 multi-pin circular connectors and 2 BNC connections.

Solid-State Magnetron Transmitters Provide Precise RF Control, High-Reliability

A line of high power, solid-state magnetron transmitter upgrade modules that can be used with all major transmitter technologies has been introduced by Diversified Technologies, Inc. of Bedford, Massachusetts.

DTI PowerMod(TM) High Power Solid-State Magnetron Transmitters deliver peak RF powers of 3 to 50 kW and can drive magnetrons across the L to Ka band frequency range. Measuring only 10" x 13" x 9", these compact modules provide precise RF control to within <0.1% and 50 ns rise/fall, adjustable from pulse-to-pulse, and support pulse repetition frequencies up to 400 kHz.

Essentially a "plug and play" module with two multi-pin circular connectors and two BNC connections in addition to the magnetron, DTI PowerMod(TM) High Power Solid-State Magnetron Transmitters can be used with all major transmitter technologies including cathode, mod-anode, and grid pulsed systems. They reportedly extend magnetron transmitter life up to 50,000 hrs MTBF.

DTI PowerMod(TM) High Power Solid-State Magnetron Transmitters are priced from $30,000.00 to $200,000.00, depending upon radar system requirements.
