January 6, 2009 - Mini metal RFID tag GAO116601 provides data transmission on metal, wood, or plastic as well as near liquids and is resistant to hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, alkali, alcohol, and machine oil. Supporting contactless read/write, with write range to 1 m and read range to 2 m, Gen 2 tag operates at 902-928 MHz and offers 96 bit EPC ID capacity. With operating temperature from -25 to +200°C and storage temperature from -40 to 200°C, tag measures 19 x 23.5 x 4 mm and weighs 10 g.

The optimized mini metal RFID tag can be used for any applications where small form factor is required and high temperatures (up to 200 °C), chemical resistance (hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, alkali, alcohol, machine oil) may be encountered.

This Gen 2 tag also supports contactless read/write.
