3M Introduces New 2 mm Board-to-Board Stacking Connectors and Box Headers

AUSTIN, Texas--Printed circuit board manufacturers and electronics manufacturing services companies now have a lower cost option for small form factor board-to-board connectors and box headers. 3M Electronic Solutions Division recently introduced the Board-to-Board Stacking Connectors and Box Headers, Series 95X for high-volume applications.

Expanding the 2 mm board-to-board and wire-to-board solutions from 3M, the new 95X Series offers a lower cost, 10µ" gold solution for high-volume applications with less stringent requirements for the number of mating cycles, no exposure to temperature extremes or hostile atmosphere and with a relatively short service life. Ideal applications include industrial applications such as control units, consumer electronics such as home appliances, handheld test and measurement devices and computing market segments.

The new connectors and box headers are qualified in accordance with European requirements for IEC Performance Class 3 items and meet the current requirements of both the EU and China RoHS legislations. They are also high temperature for lead-free processing up to 260°C.

In addition to the new 95X series, 3M offers a broad range of 2 mm and 0.100" board-to-board and wire-to-board connector solutions and molded assemblies that provide high reliability and performance for applications with more stringent requirements for mating cycles and extreme operating conditions. See www.3M.com/interconnects for more information about these and other 3M interconnect solutions.

Pricing is available from 3M approved distributors. Call 800-225-5373 for a list of distributors. 3M lead time averages 4 weeks. Many 3M distributors have stock. For more details, see www.3M.com/interconnects.
