AC/DC Power Adapters meet CEC, Energy Star requirements.
January 5, 2009 -
Delivering up to 60 W of output power, medical-grade TMP60 series has 85-264 Vac input and comes enclosed in 94V-1 rated polyphenylene-oxide case measuring 2.95 x 5.79 x 1.65 in. Single-output models, featuring factory-preset output from 11-39 V or 46-50 V, have average efficiency of greater than or equal to 85% and standby power consumption of less than 0.5 W. Dual- and triple-output models offer combinations of +3.3, +5, ±12, ±15, and +24 V outputs.
60W Medical Power Adapters Comply with CEC & Energy Star Requirements
December 15 2008-Santa Clara, California, USA-Tumbler Technologies + TRUMPower launches the TMP60 series of medical grade AC/DC desktop power adapters, which deliver up to 60W of output power.
Meeting CEC and Energy Star level IV requirements, the TMP60 power supplies (single ouput models) have an average efficiency greater than or equal to 85% and standby power consumption less than 0.5W. Earth leakage current on the TMP60 power adapters is 90 µA @ 115VAC/60Hz or 150 µA @ 230VAC/50 Hz typically. The units also meet RoHS requirements. The TMP60 series is approved to EN 60601-1, UL 60601-1, and CSA C22.2 No. 601.1 medical standards and complies with EN60601-1-2 EMC standards including EN55011/FCC/VCCI class B (conducted and radiated emissions), EN61000-3-2, EN61000-4-2, EN61000-4-3, EN61000-4-5, EN61000-4-11, and more.
The TMP60 series includes single, dual and triple outputs. On single output models, the output can be preset at anywhere between 11-39V or 46-50V during production. Dual and triple output models offer combinations of +3.3V, +5V, ±12V, ±15V, and +24V outputs. Enclosed in a 94V-1 rated polyphenylene-oxide case with dimensions of 2.95 x 5.79 x 1.65 inches, the units come with a 5-pin DIN plug as the standard output connector. TRUMPower offers a variety of other connector options to meet customer's specific needs.
With its 85 to 264 VAC wide input and a built-in IEC 320/C14 AC inlet mating with different types of AC power cords, the power adapters can be used world-wide. The series has overvoltage protection that is set at 112-140% of its nominal output voltage and provided on output 1 only. Overcurrent protection is supplied on all outputs protected to short circuit conditions. The power supplies also contain a LED indicator. The units operate between 0°C and +60°C, with derating required starting at +40°C. The withstand voltage is 4000VAC from input to output, 1500VAC from input to ground, 500VAC from output to ground. The series has a calculated MTBF of 150,000 hours minimum at full load at 25°C ambient per MIL-HDBK-217F.
The TMP60-1X series is priced at $45.50 in OEM quantity. Units are available from stock to 6 weeks ARO.
