December 16, 2008 - Featuring internal ASIC allowing for total error band better than ±0.5% FSS, HDI series sensors perform digital signal conditioning and provide digital interfaces with I²C bus protocol and analog 0.5-4.5 V output signals. They enable absolute, differential, and gage pressure measurement in various ranges from 10 mbar to 10 bar and have unidirectional, bidirectional, or barometric calibrations. With miniature SMT housings, units are suited for battery-powered, portable/handheld devices.

Digital HDI Pressure Sensors Offer Ultra High Total Accuracy Better than 0.5%


Sensortechnics' new HDI series performs precision digital signal conditioning to achieve ultra high total accuracies. An internal ASIC compensates sensor offset, temperature effects and non-linearity to allow for an excellent Total Error Band (TEB) better than ±0.5 %FSS. The pressure sensors provide digital interfaces with I²C bus protocol and analog 0.5 ... 4.5 V output signals.

The HDI series offers absolute, differential and gage pressure measurement in various ranges from 10 mbar up to 10 bar (4 inch H2O up to 150 psi). The sensors feature unidirectional, bidirectional or barometric calibrations and are intended to be used with air and non-corrosive gases. Optional 3 V supply voltage versions and special low power devices make the HDI series ideal for battery powered applications, e.g. in portable or handheld devices. Miniature SMT housings allow for space-saving PCB-mounting and maximum OEM design flexibility. Sensortechnics is able to provide fast and flexible modifications for all HDI pressure sensors based on custom specific requirements.
