Positioning Stages offer strokes from 100 mm to 2 m.

December 23, 2008 - With peak forces from 86-1,200 N, Linear Sigma Trac Series is suited for precision positioning and general automation applications. Units provide accelerations to 5 G's and velocities to 5 m/s. Because Series was developed as integral component of Sigma II Series AC servo system, digital servo amplifiers utilize intelligent serial encoder feedback system that automatically recognizes which model of linear servomotor is connected upon power-up and performs self-configuration.

Yaskawa Introduces Brushless Permanent Magnet Linear Servomotor Positioning Stages

Linear Sigma Trac Series Servomotors Offer Wide Range of Capabilities for General Automation Applications

Waukegan, IL -- Yaskawa Electric America, Inc. announced today the introduction of the Linear Sigma Trac Series, a new family of fully-integrated linear positioning slides. With peak force ranges from 86 to 1200 N and stroke ranges from 100mm to 2 m (other strokes available), the modular Sigma Trac Series slides are ideal for a wide range of precision positioning and general automation applications. The Sigma Trac Series can provide accelerations to 5 G's, and velocities to 5 m/s (application dependent).
Because the Linear Sigma Trac Series was developed as an integral component of Yaskawa's Sigma II Series AC servo system, the digital servo amplifiers utilize an intelligent serial encoder feedback system. This automatically recognizes which model of linear servomotor is connected upon power-up and automatically self-configures themselves. This feature enables quick and simple setup of the Linear Sigma Trac Series drives, and increases system reliability.

In 1967, Yaskawa Electric America, Inc., a U. S. corporation, was created to provide automation solutions and support to customers in North and South America. Established in 1915, Yaskawa Electric Corporation has been leading the way in setting the industry's standards including becoming the world's first company to have manufactured and shipped over 10-million AC drives to go along with another 5,000,000 servomotors. Yaskawa holds international quality excellence awards, including the prestigious Deming Application Prize and its products are manufactured in ISO-9001:2000 registered facilities.
