The new electro-pneumatic ED02 pressure regulator from Rexroth offers high accuracy and dynamics. Combined with its compact design, it performs well in a wide range of applications.
Lexington, KY - (www.boschrexroth-us.com/brp) High dynamics with small dimensions are now possible with Rexroth ED02 pressure regulators featuring a compact size of only 3" x 2.4" x 1.2" (76x60x30 mm). Made with two directly-controlled 2/2-way proportional valves, the ED02 can achieve an air flow of 3.5 SCFM (100 l/min), a specification that is only possible with larger nominal widths in other units.
The new pressure regulator also features exact regulation controlled by a microprocessor. The ED02 provides repetitive precision of 0.44 psi (30 mbar) and excellent values with a hysteresis of 0.73 psi (50 mbar).
Four ED02 series pressure regulators can be linked to each other without a base plate. Compressed air supply is possible from both sides, permitting extremely flexible use in a system.
The supply voltage, analog set point and actual value are electrically connected via a central M12 plug. The unit is universally applicable in spite of a low power consumption of 300 mA maximum: from simple remote pressure adjustment to complex control.
Rexroth's ED02 is part of a series of EP pressure regulators that includes the ED05 with 35 SCFM (1000 l/min) flow, the ED07 with up to 46 SCFM (1300 l/min) and the ED12 with flows of 92 SCFM (2600 l/min), ensuring the right valve for every application.
