CTS Debuts LS150 Teller Check Scanner

State-of-the-art performance in a compact, quiet and robust design...

ORLANDO, Fla. - Nov. 18, 2008 - CTS North America today announced the LS150, a new product in its highly successful family of check processing devices. CTS is debuting the LS150 at BAI Retail Delivery Conference & Expo in its booth (#1063) and in partners' booths throughout the exhibit.

Ideal for front and back-counter processing as well as retail, commercial, remittance and remote deposit capture, the LS150 leverages the latest technology to achieve the highest throughput and enhanced image resolution. Designed within the tradition of CTS advanced engineering, the LS150 offers higher overall reliability and longer consumable life, resulting in greater productivity and reduced total cost of ownership - all within a remarkably compact footprint.

As best in class, the LS150 offers the fastest processing speed and smallest footprint of any device on the market. The clean design features ease of access, low maintenance, and requires little operator training. The unit supports all standard image capture formats and features a bypass feeder to accommodate thicker documents and identification cards. Extraordinarily quiet, the LS150 will not interfere with teller/customer conversations or disrupt the workplace.

The LS150 is the ideal device for:

Tellers - the 75 documents per minute (DPM) speed along with its extremely smooth and quiet operations, and very compact footprint, support teller locations.

Back Counter - the speed options of 75 and 150 DPM, large hopper and pocket size, and optional stamp and ink jet endorsements make the LS150 the ideal device for back counter and high-volume merchant tellers

Remote Deposit Capture - the LS150 complements the CTS LS100 product line, targeting corporate capture locations with higher volumes and faster processing needs.

"After more than 10 years of extensive use of CTS technology with over 4,000 units installed, we conducted an open review and lab testing of bank technology market offerings," said Marco Tosi, Head of Research & Innovation Department, UBI Systems and Services. "It was nice to discover that CTS kept the edge with its new LS150. It was selected because of overall performance, sturdy engineering and some specific features like the stamp. I personally liked very much the design that will fit perfectly in our renewed branches. It will be our replacement for the future."

Commented Urs Bockli, Executive Vice President and General Manager of CTS North America, "The LS150 brings together nearly 30 years of experience supplying over one million banking peripherals to financial institutions around the world. It is an attractive, cost-efficient, robust design that meets the security, productivity and flexibility requirements of today's banks and deposit capture operations. We are pleased to introduce the LS150 here at BAI and look forward to supplying North American banks with this new, advanced point of presentment tool."

The LS150 teller check scanner is available immediately through authorized CTS North America resellers and systems integrators.
